Polish broadcaster TVP has announced rules of the National Final – Krajowe Eliminacje 2017, which will take place on 11 February 2017. You can submit application until 20 January 2017.
Let’s begin selection process for Polish Euriovision entry! Until 20 January 2017 composers, producers and artists can send their applications for Polish National Final of the 62th Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. What are the requirements?
- Songs must to be original, no longer than 3 minutes, not published or performed live before 1 September 2016 (compatible with Rules of participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2017)
- The thread of submitted songs can’t include topics directly related to politics, companies or brands etc. They also can’t traduce Eurovision, TVP, EBU and other persons or institutions.
- Potential finalist of Krajowe Eliminacje can’t participate in other national selections. Each performer has to be at least 16 years old before 13 May 2017 and be a Polish citizen. However, citizenship rule doesn’t apply to composers, authors and other stage performers (i.e. backing vocalists or dancers) of the entry.
Finalists of Krajowe Eliminacje will be announced until 27 January 2017 via tvp.pl website. The Selection Committee, appointed by Channel 1 Director will select 5-10 finalists. They are also can give so called Wild Card or invite selected performers to closed audition.
Polish national final – Krajowe Eliminacje will take place on 11 February 2017. The winner will be chosen by combined votes of jury and televoting (the 50/50 system). In both votings, songs will be awarded from 1 (worst song) to 10 (best song) points. If two songs are on the 1st place (tie case), the televoting result is more decisive. In case of televoting’s malfunction, the result of the jury voting will determine the winner.
